It’s not just about ping-pong you know! Things you only know if you’re a female naturist…
Lucy Rahim, writing for The Telegraph:
Stereotypes abound and its all to easy to have a quiet little snigger about those who choose to spend time at home and abroad sans clothes. But two recent studies have revealed that naturists are happier and more comfortable in their bodies than those of us who grimace at the idea of removing any kind of clothing at the beach.
I can add my voice to this as well. I can verify that I feel much more comfortable in my skin than I used to be.
“There’s nothing particularly interesting about looking at a naked body really, so when you’re talking to someone you’re actually listening to what they’re saying and trying to understand it, rather than getting distracted by their body or clothes. The conversations are more profound and genuine that way.”
“Women may feel particularly nervous about joining the community because of the way that the female body is sexualised in the modern world,” Emma explains “but it’s clothing that sexualises us.”
“Before trying naturism I hated every single thing about my body” says Martha. “If you’d asked me a couple of years ago if I would ever consider taking my clothes of in public I would have laughed in your face. But it does so much for your body confidence.
